2 months old!

Well I did not realize how fast time could really go until baby Adelyn came into our lives! She turned 2 months old this week, unbelievable! She continues to be an awesome baby...eating, smiling, "talking", sleeping and making Mommy & Daddy proud! Things Adelyn loves - her swing, listening to Mommy & Daddy read to her, Daddy's singing & dancing, bath time and of course what baby doesn't love to eat?! She had her first overnight visit to Nay Nay's and a special visit from the Smith side of the family! Adelyn had her two month appointment and she was 11 pounds 13.5 ounces and 23 and 3/4 inches long...as you can see she's a growing girl! She got her first shots and was a trooper.

We got a special visit from Aunt Carol & H! So excited to see them but sad Uncle Jack and Luke were not able to come (they were at the Steelers game though so I'm sure they were enjoying themselves)!

week 7

Highlights from week 7...

- She's smiling a lot!

- Sleeping well at night!

- Continues to eat well as you can see by her pictures;)

- Alert when she's awake and definitely likes looking at black & white things and still the lights of course

- Room update...she finally has her monogram on the wall (thanks Grandma!)

- She got to meet some very special people in my life, the Everett's. I worked for them when I was at UVa and I wouldn't know half the things about raising kids if it weren't for them!

- Her first New Year's...Brandon said, "Adelyn is so lucky she's already had her first Thanksgiving, her first Christmas and her first New Year's and she's not even 2 months old yet!" So just like her other first holidays we had to dress for the occasion! She wore an adorable outfit from great friends, thanks David & Pete!

Adelyn got to meet her Great Aunt & Uncle and cousins over the holidays. Auntie Dee, Uncle Wayne, Conner & Callen stayed an extra day to visit with the baby which extended Christmas for me! Now I just wish they lived closer so I could get Cally to babysit!!!

Christmas etc./Weeks 5 & 6

Well we've had quite a busy and exciting few weeks! Christmas was the big event over the past few weeks and boy was it a wonderful one! Adelyn continues to be a precious and amazing baby! She's sleeping well and has started smiling...absolutely amazing! Here are some pictures over the past few weeks...

Adelyn started off the season with a visit to Santa! Probably the one and only time she'll sleep through her turn on the lap of jolly ol' St. Nick!

Thanks for all the wonderful gifts everyone! I always HATE when Christmas is over but we're thankful for all the family & friends we were able to spend the holidays with!

1 month...

Adelyn's 1 month birthday!

Week 4

Adelyn is a month old...I can't believe it! She's had another good week! Most nights she sleeps between 4 and 5 hours then for another 2 to 3. She's more alert these days and continues to love the Christmas lights! Some highlights from the week:

My mom had a little happy hour in honor of some of the wonderful people at Park View that have given/let us borrow baby items or advice. Big thanks to all of them!

Week 3

Week 3 has brought more visitors and fewer pictures, I've got to get back on my game!

This onesie was mine so we had to get a picture of Adelyn in it!

Week 3 also brought the beginning of the Christmas season! Daddy loves to show Adelyn the Christmas lights which calms her down sometimes. She has 2 trees in her room! This Barbie tree has ornaments from Nay Nay and Adelyn was very alert as I decorated it, a sign that she'll love Barbie?! The other tree is a mini tree with ornaments from Brandon and my childhood.

Mommy & Daddy took her out to lunch last weekend and she stirred a few times but settled back down quickly!

She also had her first big spit up on Daddy! It's happened to me plenty but Brandon got the joy and let me just say he loved it;)

Adelyn's 3rd week brought more special visitors...
