Absolutely unbelievable Adelyn is TWO! She continues to be spoiled rotten, thank you all for the generous gifts.  She had a great weekend birthday celebration seeing family and friends. Adelyn you bring us SO much joy and happiness. I know this is very cliche but I had no idea it was possible to love someone else so much,  your dad and I continue to be amazed by you.  We love to listen to you sing, "twinkle twinkle, the ABC's, itsy bitsy spider, rock-a-bye-baby, and happy birthday."  We love to read to you, "play stickers," and color.  Your new favorite thing is tea parties and I can see lots of fun with those in our future!  You make us so proud:)

Quite ironic that Adelyn is Dorothy this year considering Hurricane Sandy and it's impact on our area.  We're so glad we got some pictures last week when the weather was nice considering it's taken quite a turn.  Every year (except for my college years) I've gone to the Pearson's for the Halloween parade.  Beth and I only went trick-or-treating to their neighbors but always ended up with the most candy because of the parade:) We would stand there with our buckets and soon they (as well as our parents' pockets) were full to the brim with candy! After the parade we'd dump all our candy on the floor and trade.  Sadly, very very sadly the parade has been cancelled this year and I don't even know what to do...

It is amazing to me how little girls know how to take care of a baby and want to play with babies.  Adelyn is the only girl at the baby-sitter and she is the youngest yet she knows how to nurture, love, and care for babies.  They are certainly one of her favorite things right now, along with animals, legos, puzzles, and reading books.

It's a good thing Adelyn likes babies because we'll be adding another one at the beginning of April:)

sand, sun, wah-do, and fun

The entire week at the beach was amazing. We made the most of the weather and of course the company doesn't get much better! 

Adelyn loved the sand (her mother's daughter) but wasn't crazy about walking toward the ocean and letting the wah-do run over her feet, she would pull back on our hand and say "nooo wah-do!" The second we picked her up she was fine and at the end of the week when the ocean was crystal clear and calm she got in with us and loved it, "more wah-do!"

We had delicious seafood, yummy drinks, lots of laughs, and of course more yummy drinks:)  As I mentioned we had the best company! They say it takes a village and the village was at the beach.  Aunt Lucy (still Ms. Walker to me) started coming down back in 1994 and has now made it a friends and family affair as well.  Thank you village for entertaining, watching, dancing, teaching, and doing endless "cheers" with our little pumpkin! She's still talking about Auntie Em, Doh Doh, Pete, Minny, & Sexy;) Don't worry we'll be practicing our Apple Bottom dance until we see you again next year!
