I realize I should have posted this during the game because it didn't turn out so well but entertaining an almost 14 month old is first priority:)

walking

So Adelyn has preferred to crawl for weeks but she is now finally walking more than crawling!  She started taking multiple steps at one time when we were putting up the Christmas tree but then went back to crawling as her main mode of transportation.  Well, over break she started officially walking! Her little waddling butt is the cutest thing I've ever seen (remember I am her mom) and she's even started "running" if I can even call it that.  I got some video over the weekend.  As you can see she still loves hanging on to one of our fingers.  I'm totally eating that up because I know it won't be long before she's pushing our hand away...

Happy 2012 to all! We rung in the new year with great friends...in fact some of the best! We headed down to Richmond to spend the night at Elizabeth & Matt's.  They were wonderful hosts of course and we all enjoyed delicious apps & Elizabeth's yummy turkey chili! Mary Addison & Adelyn looked adorable in the UVa gear (although it didn't help too much...) and we even got a shot of the eight of us!

Christmas

Merry Christmas! We had a great holiday with family.  Santa was wonderful to Adelyn and Nay Nay was wonderful to everyone!  The special part of the weekend happened toward the end but it was well worth the wait.  Adelyn finally got to meet her great-great Aunt Gwynnie!  All-in-all it was wonderful Christmas and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday little one!  She's taken a few steps but not walking yet. 
Likes: cheese sticks, things that make noise, all fruit & veggies, anything Mommy & Daddy are eating, her thumb, "woof woofing" at the doggies, your new chair, mr. bear, hide & seek, the cash register, and swinging at the park.
Dislikes: cake (apparently), and when she doesn't get her way;)

O.N.E.

Absolutely positively unbelievable that our little munchkin is ONE. I am going to be extremely cliche right now and say that time does fly, especially when you're watching your little girl grow up.  She has brought us amazing amounts of joy, love, and an extreme loss of sleep:) 

We had a little party to celebrate the year of Adelyn. She was a trooper and loved her gifts!

She liked the cake during her party but I tried to give her some twice on her actual birthday and she literally gagged so no go on the cake:)
